What are glamour shots?

Personally I think they're tacky. "Glamour Shots" have a characteristic blurred or softened look like they're slightly out of focus. And too much makeup and unnatural posing. Did you see Napoleon Dynamite? They don't employ good photographers. I believe you would be better off going to another type of photographer who does portraits. When I think "Glamour Shots" I picture not very good looking people trying to appear y and failing miserably.
